This is the view from the house of my friend Uttam.

I took a series of photographs when I was staying with Uttam’s family between September 2014 and September 2015. The haystack disappears, wheat and peas grow over the winter months, people, dogs and cows come and go, the fields are ploughed.  Then, with the arrival of the monsoon rains, the summer maize crop begins to rise.
